How to register

Registration is carried out exclusively through the official WCA website:

Create your WCA account (if you do not already have one) at worldcubeassociation.org
Search for “SAC 2026” or “South American Championship 2026” in the competition calendar
Click on “Register”
Select the events you wish to compete in
Complete the payment according to the instructions
Wait for confirmation from the organizing team

Registration fees

Competitors

First date (until March 18): $80.000 COP
Second date (March 19 - April 19): $100.000 COP
Third date (April 20 - May 28): $120.000 COP

Registration includes:

Participation in all selected events
Official SAC 2026 souvenir
Competitor badge
WCA SAC 2026 apparel

Spectators

General admission: $5.000 COP per day
Full pass (4 days): $20.000 COP

Payment will be made upon entry to the competition venue

Competitor limit

Maximum capacity: 400 competitors

Registration works on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the limit is reached, a waiting list will be opened. We recommend registering as early as possible to secure your spot.

Requirements and regulations

Qualification times

Some events require qualification times registered in the WCA:

4x4x4 Blindfolded Better than 10:00.00 before May 18, 2026.
5x5x5 Blindfolded Better than 20:00.00 before May 18, 2026.
Multi - Blindfolded Better than 12 points before May 18, 2026.

Time limits

Each event will have specific time limits. If you do not complete your solve within the limit, it will be recorded as a DNF (Did Not Finish).

Competition format

Most events will use the Average of 5 format. Some events will use:

Mean of 3: 6x6x6, 7x7x7
Best of 2: MBLD
Best of 3: 4x4x4 BLD, 5x5x5 BLD

Additional information

WCA account

If this is your first WCA competition, the system will automatically create your WCA ID after the event. This ID will accompany you throughout your speedcubing career and record all your results.

Changes after registration

You may modify the events you will participate in until May 28, 2026 at no additional cost. After this date, no changes will be allowed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I register on the day of the event?
No. All registration must be completed online in advance.

Do I need to be a South American citizen to compete?
Anyone from anywhere in the world can participate in the competition, regardless of nationality.

What happens if the list is full?
A waiting list will be opened. If someone cancels, we will contact you by email.
